Let me make this very clear—it is time that we favor people over profits.” By Sophie Nieto-Muñoz, New Jersey Monitor Curaleaf can continue selling recreational cannabis at all of its New Jersey locations after the state’s cannabis regulators reversed a decision they made Thursday that would have sharply limited where the company can sell weed. The Colorado House of Representatives has approved a bill that will allow adults to buy marijuana online—which supporters say will help businesses that have depended largely on cash transactions that put them at risk of crime. Strange and alien to outsiders are words such as nugs, dank, permagrin, wake’n’bake, blunt, bogarting, Rastafarian, Towlie, or even coffeeshops. After 30 years of full-blown marijuana counterculture, outsiders still remain oblivious to the most special marijuana catchphrase of all: “Four hundred and twenty what?” What outsiders miss, the discerning (and very possibly slightly reddened) eye can find all around. The 420 imprimatur is on bongs, t-shirts, patches, and coffee mugs. Marijuana fans find it…
